Gift Ideas for Writers 2023

If you’re looking for gift ideas for writers, the See Jane Write Gift Guide has you covered.

And while you’re searching for ideas for your writing buddy, you’ll probably see some things you’ll want to add to your gift wish list too.

This isn’t your ordinary gift guide for writers because we’ve turned to Charlene J. Lindsay of Shine by Charlene for help.

Charlene is the Shine of Write & Shine Co. — a collaboration between Shine by Charlene and See Jane Write that produces journal gift boxes and journaling experiences. She’s a pro at giving great gifts and hosting fabulous parties.

How I’m Preparing for Fall

The cool air that kisses my face during my morning walks lets me know that fall is just around the corner. While some folks are stocking up on all things pumpkin spice, I’m preparing for autumn in a different way, the writer’s way.

Here’s how I’m preparing for fall and some journaling prompts to help you do the same.

The 2023 #SeeJaneWalk Challenge

The #SeeJaneWalk Challenge is back and this time we’re teaming up with the BHAM Babes Walking Club!

(You can learn more about the BHAM Babes Walking Club here.)

Here’s the challenge: Walk for at least 30 minutes AND journal for at least 3 minutes every day for 30 days in September. If you successfully complete the challenge (we’re using the honor system here) you’ll have a chance to win some prizes. One of the prizes is a one-year See Jane Write Collective membership! (If you miss a few days you can still enter the raffle as long as you completed at least 21 days.)

I’ll be sharing encouraging words and daily journal prompts in my Instagram Stories (follow me @seejavaciawrite), in the See Jane Write Network Facebook group and via text. (Text WALK to 205-892-9501 if you’d like to receive daily journal prompts via text.)

If you’re in the Birmingham area, be sure to follow @bhambabeswalkingclub on IG and join their Facebook group. I’ll be joining them for at least one walk per week and I’d love for you to come with me!

If you’re not in Birmingham, don’t worry. You can still join the fun from afar!

If you post about your walks on social media, be sure to use #seejanewwalk. Feel free to share journal reflections too.

The fun begins September 1.

Let’s do this!

Listen in on my chat with BHAM Babes Walking Club founder Caroline Foster about the power of walking and journaling and how the two go hand in hand.

Unlock your Age of Pleasure with journaling

The Age of Pleasure is here!

Most people know that I’m absolutely obsessed with Beyonce because I’m always talking about her out in these Internet streets. But my IRL friends know that I’m also a huge fan of Janelle Monae and that’s why I’m so excited about her new album The Age of Pleasure which was released today. And when she announced her North American tour and I saw that she was coming to Birmingham I snagged my tickets before they were even officially on sale. (Yup, I got that Fan Presale hook-up.)
