November 1 is Day One of #BlogLikeCrazy, my annual challenge to myself and any other blogger who wants to participate to publish a new blog post every day for 30 days.

When you’re creating that much content you may be tempted to post simply for the sake of posting, but if you resist that blogging devil, it will flee from you.

Intentional Blogging

Be an intentional blogger, even when you’re blogging like crazy.

First, consider your categories. What do you want to be known for? Pick five topics you want to be the core of your blog content. For example, my five topics would be blogging, freelance writing, personal branding, women’s empowerment, and wellness.

Next, brainstorm 6 blog post ideas for each topic and – viola! – you’ve got 30 post ideas for #BlogLikeCrazy.

Cornerstone Content

If you haven’t done so already, you can use #BlogLikeCrazy as an opportunity to create your cornerstone content.

Cornerstone content is your best, most important content. These posts are relatively long, so DO NOT try to make EVERY #BlogLikeCrazy post a cornerstone article. Your goal should be to have one cornerstone article in each blog category.

In your cornerstone posts, you want to combine insight and information from several different blog posts (your own and those written by others) to cover all the essential elements about a particular topic. And you want your cornerstone content to rank highest in search engines.

You can learn more about cornerstone content here.
