Each year, I challenge any blogger who wants to play along to join me in publishing a new blog post every day for 30 days in the month of November. I call this challenge #BlogLikeCrazy and it certainly lives up its name. But it’s also SO MUCH FUN. And I’m so glad each year some brave bloggers step up to the challenge.
Today I salute the #BlogLikeCrazy All-Stars for 2019 — the bloggers who succeeded in giving their readers new content every day in November. And I’m giving a shoutout to members of the See Jane Write community who completed the National Novel Write Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge.
Girl, You Write
See Jane Write Collective member Kimberley Carter Spivey is the woman behind the blog and business Girl, You Write. Kim juggles her day job and family life with her side hustles as a freelance writer and entrepreneur. With her blog, she hopes to help other women “find inspiration and fulfillment through a happy and healthy life balance.” This year for #BlogLikeCrazy Kim focused her posts on showing gratitude for things big and small that make life worth living.

Dr. Millie Jackson
See Jane Write Collective member Dr. Millie Jackson has a Ph.D. in English as well as graduate degrees in storytelling, health education, and library and information science. She’s also a certified coach, yoga teacher, reiki master, and labyrinth facilitator. She blends all of these together as she searches for ways to live life to the fullest and shares this journey on her blog, writing about food, family, books, and more.
Kristina Hamlett
Kristina Hamlett’s blog chronicles her writing and wellness journey to inspire and educate her readers who are on personal journeys of their own. This year during #BlogLikeCrazy, Kristina took her readers through her final 30 days of doing the #75hard challenge.
Soul In Stereo
Every year my husband Edward T. Bowser of Soul in Stereo participates in #BlogLikeCrazy to show me that he supports all that I do for See Jane Write. And not only is Edward the best husband a girl could ask for, but he’s also the best music blogger on the Internet. If you’re looking for honest, thoughtful music reviews, insightful yet hilarious pop culture commentary, and informative yet entertaining round-up lists, you should definitely add Soul In Stereo to your reading list.
Honorable Mention – Sherri Ross
See Jane Write Collective member Sherri Ross was determined to publish 30 blog posts in November. So if she missed a day she gave her readers a “twofer” and published two posts the next day. Sherri’s lifestyle blog explores her weight loss journey, her love for Birmingham, and much more and is sure to keep you inspired.

If you participated in the #BlogLikeCrazy challenge (even if you didn’t complete it) and shared your posts on social media there’s a chance I featured one or more of your posts in the See Jane Write Weekly newsletters in November. You can check out last month’s issues here, here, here, and here.
National Novel Writing Month
Fun fact — I actually started the #BlogLikeCrazy challenge because November can be a lonely month for us nonfiction writers. November is National Novel Writing Month when writers across the country and around the world challenge themselves to write a 50,000-word novel in one month. But I’m not a fiction writer and with all of my writing pals working on their novels, no one could come out to play. So I started a challenge of my own.
But this year I made an effort to give NaNoWriMo participants the encouragement they needed, too, with a kickoff webinar and daily progress threads in See Jane Write Network Facebook group.
So I want to also salute member so the See Jane Write community who completed the NaNoWriMo challenge.
See Jane Write Collective member Nneka Hartfield not only completed the challenge but she wrote more than 50,000 words!
See Jane Write Collective member Safiya Robinson snagged her NaNoWriMo badge before November 30 and blogged regularly, too!
