The last quarter of 2017 is here and this is the perfect time to look back at your goals for the year and to start looking ahead to your goals for 2018.

First, be sure to celebrate the amazing things — both big and small — that you have achieved so far. I am patting myself on the back for See Jane Write being selected as one of the 100 best sites for writers by The Write Life. I’m proud of myself for hosting a successful virtual summit, for finally taking a solo writing retreat, for increasing my blog’s page views, and for losing 20 pounds. I’m celebrating the new See Jane Write members and new coaching clients I welcomed into my tribe this year.

Next, take a look at the 2017 goals you haven’t accomplished yet and, for each one, decide if this is a goal you want to release, put on the shelf for another year, or try to achieve in these final three months of 2017.

This is also a good time to start thinking about some of your goals and plans for 2018. Then ask yourself what you can do in the final quarter of 2017 to make it easier to accomplish next year’s goals. Consider how you can set yourself up for success.

With all this in mind, set your goals for the final quarter of 2017 and then set goals for October that correspond with these goals and other aspirations.
