Here’s the thing, November —  October will be a tough act to follow.

Last month I welcomed 33 new members into the See Jane Write Collective.

I was featured on BhamNow.com and xoNecole.com and I was quoted in Oprah Magazine!

I wrote a piece for Reckon South on how breast cancer both ruined and restored my confidence.

I landed my first paid Instagram brand collaboration. And I was invited to contribute a chapter for a book being curated by a high-profile journalist (and I will be well compensated).

Also, I got my taste buds back! (Along with killing cancer cells, chemo also temporarily kills your sense of taste.)

After a month like that, I’m ready to take on a BIG, HAIRY, AUDACIOUS GOAL.

November Goals

November means it’s time for #BlogLikeCrazy, so my top goal for the month is to publish a new blog post every day.

I also want to send a story pitch to Zora.

I need to create a member directory for the See Jane Write Collective.

And I’m going to relaunch See Jane Freelance.

But as I’m working on these goals and working on meeting all of my freelance writing deadlines, there will be a BIG, HAIRY, AUDACIOUS GOAL on my mind every step of the way.

What’s my BHAG for the month?

In November 2020 I will have my first five-figure month.

There! I said it. Or typed it at least. It’s out there.

Now I want to share how I plan to accomplish this goal and I hope my plan will help you tackle a BIG, HAIRY, AUDACIOUS GOAL of your own.

My November Master Plan

First, I break down this big goal down into smaller tasks.

I will list all of my money-making ventures for this month such as the following:

Then I will list what I need to do for each of these money-making ventures. For example, one item on that list will be to host a webinar on freelance writing on Sunday, November 15 at 6 p.m. CT. If you’re interested in freelance writing, you can sign up for the webinar here.

Next, I will plan when I’m going to work on all of these smaller tasks and make note of all of my deadlines.

As you may already know if you’ve been following me for a while, each Sunday I sit down with a notebook and my Day Designer to plan my week. When I do this I’m planning out when I will work on all of the things I need, want, and must do – and this includes when I’m going to work on my goals.

But this month is MAJOR. So, I’ve also put together a sample workday schedule, too.

  • 5 am – wake up + journal
  • 5:30 am – WORK
  • 6:30 am – shower + get dressed
  • 7:15 am – leave for radiation treatment
  • 8 am – radiation treatment
  • 9 am – WORK
  • Noon – lunch
  • 1 pm – WORK
  • 3 pm – Daily Walk
  • 4 pm – WORK
  • 7 pm – Dinner
  • 8 pm – Strength Training & Stretching
  • 9 pm – Read
  • 10 pm – Bedtime

This schedule will be a bit different on Thursdays because I host a virtual write-in for the See Jane Write Collective on Thursdays at 7 p.m. CT. But this is the schedule I’ll try to follow most days of the week so I can get my work done and still make time for daily self-care.

What are your goals for November?
