16 blogs

One of the best ways to be a good blogger is to read good blogs. Here are some blogs I recommend following religiously in 2016 if you’re passionate about writing, blogging, entrepreneurship, and feminism.

Mattieologie

I learned about Mattieologie this summer from my blogging buddy Jeniese of The Jenesaisquoi and I’ve been a bit obsessed ever since. Mattie James began her blogging career as a style blogger, but has had so much success that she now also uses her platform to help other content creators turn their passions into profit and to “live what you love,” which is her motto and mantra. I not only read Mattie’s blog, but I listen to her podcast, watch her Periscope broadcasts, and sign up for all of her master classes. And, of course, I use her blog for style inspiration, too.

All the Many Layers

If you’re ever struggling with writer’s block, just head to GG Renee Hill’s blog All the Many Layers.  Her posts always get my pen going! If you’ve been getting in your own way and holding yourself back from success, her post When You Say You’re Not Ready will give you the push you need to be brave and bold.

WriteLaughDream

Ashley Coleman of WriteLaughDream is a girl after my own heart. Her site isn’t just about showcasing her own writing. She is devoted to helping others with their writing as well and building community through workshops, courses, and her new Facebook group.

I Am the F-Bomb

I’ve been telling y’all for years that “southern feminist” isn’t an oxymoron. If you don’t believe me, maybe you’ll believe the women behind I Am the F-Bomb, “a site where rad modern women share their stories” that’s based in Birmingham, Alabama. One of my goals for 2016 is to start contributing to this site.

The Beautiful Bodies of Birmingham Project

More feminist goodness coming out of my hometown, The Beautiful Bodies of Birmingham Project is all about spreading body positivity. I hope to share my own story on this blog one day.

Female Entrepreneur Association

When See Jane Write grows up I want her to be like Carrie Green’s Female Entrepreneur Association. FEA is an online hub with the mission of inspiring and empowering women from around the world to turn their ideas into a reality, build successful businesses and live a life they love. And Carrie updates the website’s blog every week with posts full of information and inspiration to help lady bosses go after their goals.

This list merely scratches the surface of all the many blogs I read, but I wanted to highlight these because they either helped me with my 2015 goals or are a part of my 2016 goals, or both.

Other blogs I love include:
